I'm Charlie Hicks-Moore, a member of Expressions Unlimited for four years. I came from our club meeting today with approval to go ahead with this blog. Thanks, Paul!

Anyone can learn to blog with the simple solution that Blogger.com provides and anyone can learn the skills to comfortably speak in public through Toastmasters International. And, you may find that you really enjoy it!

We'll add more features to this site as we become more familiar with the back office at Blogger.com. You'll soon see links to websites that members of our club have created. If you click on the title of most posts, you'll find that there's a link to another website right there. Today's is another of my blogs, MOTIVATIONALBlog.blogspot.com.

Every member of our group can contribute articles or comments and links they find relevant. If you would like to contact our group, you can call the number on our original website or you can fill out a survey I created at YouStepUp.com. If you choose the survey, please feel free to say, "I'm only interested in Toastmasters" in one of the "open-ended" answer spaces.

If you're someone who is wondering if Toastmasters is for you, I suggest visiting several clubs to see which one you feel most comfortable attending. I know personally that this is important. I first visited a club over 20 years ago and didn't realize that they weren't all the same. I finally visited another club 17 years later and found a wonderful group that I could be comfortable with brushing up on my speaking skills, whether or not I happen to be a great writer!

Visit us or visit another club, take a risk and you may discover a new world has opened for you.
